At Messages of Hope, our purpose is to share messages of hope rooted in Scripture, proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ, encourage faithful Christian living, and point people toward the blessed hope of Christ's soon return.

We seek to produce biblical, Christ-centered, accurate, responsible, and edifying content. Because our ministry is independent, the content published on this website represents the convictions and editorial judgment of Messages of Hope and should not be understood as an official publication, position, or statement of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or any of its organizational entities.

Our highest authority is the Holy Scriptures. We therefore encourage readers to examine every teaching carefully and prayerfully in the light of God's Word.

Our published theological content reflects the ministry's understanding of biblical Christianity and is intentionally aligned with the biblical teachings represented in the 28 Fundamental Beliefs traditionally held by Seventh-day Adventists.

However, Messages of Hope is an independent support ministry and is not an official ministry, department, agency, or representative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or its organizational entities.

3. Scripture as Our Highest Authority

We seek to place Scripture above personal opinion, tradition, speculation, cultural trends, or the authority of any individual.

When presenting theological conclusions, we seek to:

1. examine the relevant biblical passages;
2. consider the context of those passages;
3. compare Scripture with Scripture;
4. distinguish clear biblical teaching from interpretation or inference;
5. avoid building major doctrines upon isolated texts;
6. acknowledge areas where interpretation may reasonably differ; and
7. direct readers back to the biblical text for personal study.

We recognize that human understanding is limited. Our teaching therefore seeks to faithfully interpret and apply Scripture while remaining subject to the authority of God's Word. Scripture, rather than human opinion or interpretation, is our ultimate standard of truth.

4. Christ-Centered Content

Because the central message of Scripture is God's redemptive work through Jesus Christ, we seek to keep Christ at the center of our teaching.

Whether discussing prophecy, Christian doctrine, apologetics, biblical history, the Sabbath, salvation, death, the second coming, or Christian living, our goal is ultimately to point readers toward God, His character, His grace, and salvation through Jesus Christ.

We seek to avoid sensationalism, fear-based manipulation, unnecessary controversy, or speculation that distracts from the gospel.

5. Research and Source Evaluation

We seek to research our content carefully and responsibly.

Depending on the subject, research may involve:

• the Bible and biblical cross-references;

Sources are evaluated according to their relevance, credibility, context, and consistency with the subject being discussed.

When appropriate, significant claims are supported with Scripture, references, citations, or links to relevant sources.

We do not intentionally present another person's research, argument, wording, or work as our own.

6. Bible Versions and Scripture Quotations

Messages of Hope primarily uses the King James Version (KJV) for Scripture quotations throughout the website unless another Bible translation is specifically identified.

Other Bible translations may occasionally be consulted or quoted when they provide helpful insight into the wording or meaning of a biblical passage. When a translation other than the KJV is quoted, we seek to identify the version appropriately.

Readers are encouraged to examine the complete biblical passage in its context and compare quotations and paraphrases with the Scriptures themselves.

7. Original Paraphrasing of Scripture

At times, Messages of Hope may present a biblical passage in our own explanatory paraphrase.

Such paraphrases are intended to communicate the meaning of a passage in simpler or more contextual language. They are not presented as a replacement for the biblical text and should not be treated as an official Bible translation.

When a passage is paraphrased rather than directly quoted, we seek to make this distinction clear through wording, formatting, or an appropriate note.

8. Theological Interpretation and Commentary

Some articles contain theological interpretation, explanation, or application in addition to direct biblical quotations.

We distinguish, as much as reasonably possible, between:

What Scripture explicitly says — the direct teaching of the biblical text.

Biblical inference — a conclusion reached by considering multiple passages together.

Theological interpretation — an explanation of how we understand the biblical evidence.

Practical application — the way biblical principles may be applied to Christian life.

We seek not to present our interpretations as though every conclusion were an explicit quotation or statement of Scripture.

9. Prophecy and End-Time Topics

Messages of Hope may discuss biblical prophecy and events associated with the second coming of Christ.

Because prophetic subjects can easily lead to speculation, sensationalism, or inaccurate predictions, we seek to distinguish clearly between what Scripture teaches and human speculation about future events.

We do not claim to know a date for Christ's return.

We seek instead to emphasize Christ's command to remain spiritually watchful, faithful, and prepared.

10. Historical and Scientific Subjects

When articles address history, archaeology, science, philosophy, or other subjects outside direct biblical theology, we seek to distinguish established evidence from interpretation, hypothesis, and speculation.

We do not intentionally present uncertain claims as established facts.

Where evidence is disputed or incomplete, we seek to acknowledge the relevant uncertainty rather than creating a false impression of certainty.

The purpose of discussing such subjects is not to make science, archaeology, or historical claims the foundation of Christian faith. Our faith ultimately rests upon God and His revealed Word.

11. Apologetics

Messages of Hope may address questions and objections concerning Christianity, God, the Bible, creation, morality, suffering, prophecy, and other matters of faith.

Our apologetic content seeks to respond respectfully and logically rather than through personal attacks, ridicule, or hostility toward those who disagree.

We recognize that intellectual arguments alone do not produce spiritual conversion. We therefore seek to combine thoughtful reasoning with biblical truth, humility, compassion, and a clear presentation of the gospel.

12. Respectful Treatment of Differing Views

We recognize that sincere Christians and Bible students may reach different conclusions concerning certain passages and theological questions.

When discussing positions with which we disagree, we seek to represent them fairly and avoid deliberately mischaracterizing another person's beliefs.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement when it is expressed respectfully.

Our purpose is not to win arguments for their own sake but to encourage people to seek truth, examine Scripture, and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
